JORGE ELIZONDO -

Jorge Elizondo was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas, where the sounds of Mexico, the Caribbean, and the United States meet. In this unique environment, Jorge trained in music theory and Latin dance and developed "Bachata Fusion," a style of dance that combines turn patterns and body movements from traditional Bachata, Tango, Cha Cha, and Salsa with many original moves. The end result is an expressive, active style of dance that removes all barriers and allows dancers to be more creative.

Formerly a public school teacher, Jorge's passion for teaching equals his passion for dancing. His Bachata BootCamp tour has taken him to 190 cities throughout North America and Europe, where he has taught tens of thousands of students. Throughout all his journeys, he has continued to develop new concepts to share with the world. He has produced 18 instructional DVDs ranging from beginning bachata to salsa, and his work has been sold in over 40 countries. His strong leading abilities and worldwide exposure also earned him a place in the "World's Best Leads" DVD created by the world-renowned Edie, the Salsa Freak.

Jorge's mission is to spread the love of bachata all over the world and encourage people to live a healthier, more active lifestyle.

Camille Yannantuono - San Diego,CA

Camille Yannantuono started training in gymnastic when she was 9 years old, competing for the Girls Club in Santa Barbara Ca. It wasn't until her last year in high school when she joined a Lindy Hop team, called the Swing Kids. After graduating high school she spent 1 year as a college cheerleader and than headed out to join the Marine Corps, it wasn't until her last year in the Marines in 2001 that Camille was introduced to Salsa. Camille along with her partner started their team "Positive Energy" in Jan of 2005. They decided to make it a dance company to allow for their love of fusion dancing- Currently they have a Salsa/Argentine Tango, Salsa/Waltz and currently they are working on a Salsa/West Coast swing routine. Camille met Ross Todorovic in Buenos Aires, Argentina when she was training in Argentine Tango and currently trains and performs with El Studio Tango and is loving the new adventure. Recently, Camille has Joined Jorge Elizondo Bachata Fusion World Tour. Camille has tour in United States, Holland, Ireland, and Switzerland. Camille is also featured in 7 instructional DVD in Bachata, Salsa, Bachata Tango and Argentine Tango.

Juan Ruiz - Australia
Juan is responsible for the Bachata craze in Australia & New Zealand as 2004 saw him in a new country & culture when he arrived in Sydney, only to find the dance he was most passionate about was a taboo, never played in nightclubs or taught at dance studios. Inspired as no one else can be with Bachata, Juan started running classes & workshops, as well as promoting Bachata music to various influential DJ’s, Nightclubs & Latin Events. It was from there his fame as ‘El Bachatero’ grew quickly making him the best know Bachata Instructor in Australia & New Zealand. He has taught hundreds of workshops throughout Australia and currently runs monthly boot camps/workshops in some of the most prestigious Latin dance schools in Sydney. Juan is also one of the organizers of the first successful ‘Sydney Bachata Festival’.

Nestor Manuelian - Australia
Nestor started studying and dancing Bachata back in 2005. Falling in love with the music and dance, he pursued it much like his Salsa. He was taught by none other than Juan Ruiz. With a lot of the Brazilian Zouk Lambada influence in the Latin culture, particularly the Bachata community, Nestor’s passion for Bachata can be seen through his very smooth and sophisticated dance style. Seemore Johnson - Boston, MA
From Costa Rica, has been dancing for over 20 years.
He is a professional dancer, choreographer and instructor of more than twelve different dances from Latin America.
He has performed in all the main stages of Costa Rica and traveled around Latin America expanding his knowledge and learning the proper technique for each Latino dance.
Rueda de Bachata was created in Boston by Seemore Johnson and Cristina Pujol in 2003, when they were choreographing a piece. They were asked to prepare a Bachata dance and they decided to do it in a circle and Voila! Rueda de Bachata was born. The first performance was for the Boston Housing authority, followed by Boston Salsa congress 2003, Boston International Salsa Congress 2004, Miami Salsa Rueda Congress of the Americas 2004-2005 and numerous other performances in New England.
